Day 1: Taming my hair

I have long, thick, curly hair that is super stubborn. I brush it and I look like a poodle. I let it do its own thing and it looks like a rats nest.  Sometimes it behaves but most times I just throw it into a bun or a french braid and call it a day. I was cleaning my room today when I came across this weird looking thing for my hair dryer. I attached it to my hair dryer and it suddenly looked like a futuristic space gun that shoots lasers! I did a little research and realized that it was a diffuser, and it helps curly hair dry faster and prevents frizzing! I thought to myself that this was too good to be true, but since I'm having a lazy Sunday, I'll try it.

I am truly shocked by the results! My hair actually looks like the way I want it to look! There is no frizz, and no "triangle hair".

All I did to get this look was wash and condition my hair like normal. Instead of drying it with a towel like I normally do however, I used an old tee and 'crunched' it. When my hair wasn't dripping wet anymore, I put some gel in and dried my hair upside down using the diffuser. I found that if  I directed my hair so that the ends sat in the diffuser the curls kept their shape easier.

I love this way of doing my hair. And its super easy. It only took me about 10 to 15 minutes to do!

Edit: This is what my hair looks like 2 hours later. A lot of volume but no frizz.
